The wedding was approaching quickly. Small budget, no frills, but brimming with family and joy. Trevie, an acquaintance of my then-girlfriend, was in need of an affordable, reliable solution. My partner asked if I could help, and I couldn’t say no. Such moments are both irreplaceable and immeasurably precious. We should all have touchstones to these memories—a way to hold onto the nostalgia and share it with others. It almost felt like an obligation to grab my camera and capture it. Budget concerns aside, the mission was clear: to create something lasting for this couple.
An opportunity emerged. Upbound Moments emerged as a branch of my media company dedicated to capturing the key life events that define our personal histories: engagements, weddings, and family milestones. There’s something timeless about physical prints—an honorific that holds a place within an old brass frame, or a tangible album to mark the ritual of love. My goal is to offer an accessible and approachable photography experience for moments you want to preserve, cherish, and share with your community. Images that are worthy of framing in a space you call home.
Trevie and her partner managed their own wedding logistics. I handled everything related to the event capture. Once again, this was more than a simple service; it was a moment I was privileged to support. To prepare, I invested in new equipment—a second indoor flash to complement my first—and coordinated with Trevie to make sure every expectation, from pre-production planning to post-ceremony delivery, was a handled deal. This experience solidified for me that capturing life’s most wondrous moments would become a part of my offerings as a media producer and consultant.
