Starfleet Archive of Tactical Operations (SATO)

The Starfleet Archive of Tactical Operations (SATO) is an online space I’ve created to dive into Star Trek’s tactical and technical brilliance. This project serves as a canvas for exploring eclectic musings about Starfleet maneuvers, skirmishes lost to time, and theoretical beta-canon doctrines. Inspired by Star Trek’s in-universe lore, SATO is modeled after an imagined Starfleet department tasked with cataloging tactical operations and celebrating innovative maneuvers throughout Starfleet history.

Beyond its role as a tribute, SATO functions as an analytical lens—a place to reflect on both heroic actions and the consequences of conflict, all while highlighting lessons for Starfleet’s future tacticians. And let’s face it, this space is nerdy in all the best ways.

Star Trek holds a special place in my heart, and while the franchise intersects with broader societal contexts and deeper fandom discussions, SATO is where I focus purely on the “cool stuff.” Whether it’s dissecting the destruction of the USS Odyssey (a Galaxy-class starship taken down by just three Jem’Hadar fighters) or examining obscure tactical doctrine, this space celebrates my love of Star Trek’s intricate universe. Content launches in fall 2024—join me for a closer look at the tactics that shaped the Federation’s history.
