How We Met

The operations director at Achievement First Brooklyn High School reached out with an urgent need for a photographer as graduation week approached. I agreed, despite my older, less-than-ideal equipment, knowing that the work would come down to skill, not tools.

Dana majored in Theater and Dance, and I distinctly remember her choreographing a breathtaking piece for the Trinity College Gospel Choir’s spring concert—just days before its debut during graduation season. She brought light and fire to every movement, a reflection of the humor, energy, and grace she shared with we no less across the years.
